Rumen Dunev - pilot for Havoline since 2003!
Born on 11.01.1974g. in Sofia in the family of the recent racing pilot Boncho Dunev.
The first pilot in Bulgaria that have the Renault factory behind his back. Directly sponsored by Renault France and using the latestr equipment and software. The car Renault Clio Super 1600 is maintained by French engineers and electronics specialists.
From the year 1999 until 2001 Dunev seek development and improvement in Germany, specializes in driving on race tracks. Started in the German championship "Ford Puma CUP" in extreme competition with 50 other pilots with exactly the same cars. Undoubtedly a race for drivers, not cars. Dunev marked good results in BERU TOP 10, but because of lack of funding he returned to Bulgaria after almost four years participation in the German championship.
Meanwhile, in 2001. Rumen graduated from the Technical University in Sofia, majoring in Automotive Engineering, with honors, and in 2002 gave birth to his firstborn son Enrico by his wife Catherine. That same year Rumen opened a modern auto service in Sofia, specialized in electronics and diagnostics atomobili and up to today enjoys numerous clients. Key priorities in business and in sport that Rumen follows are high quality and speed.
In 2009 Dunev compete with the new Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 9 in the largest class over 2000 cc and he won yet another championship with a dramatic victory in the last race on the calendar.
Future plans - American championships, IndyCar and Rolex.
