Lubricants
The Petroleum Products Testing Laboratory (PPTL) is an independent structural unit of PRISTA OIL HOLDING EAD directly subordinate to the Executive Director of the company.
The laboratory is located on the territory of the Lubricant Blending Plant in the town of Ruse covering an area of 1000 m2. The PPTL is one of the most modern laboratories for mineral lubricant testing equipped with advanced state of the art test and measuring equipment. The laboratory performs its testing activities in 22 rooms with different functions depending on the type of the particular analyses done there, including: physical and chemical testing, classification testing, insulating liquids testing, elemental analysis (spectrometry), functional testing, analytical testing, determination of thermal and oxidation stability of the lubricants, etc.
The laboratory has been established in 1996. Since 1999 the laboratory has been accredited by the Bulgarian Accreditation Service against the requirements of EN ISO IEC 17025 with the scope of accreditation: petroleum products sampling and testing, including: mineral oils, metalworking fluids, automotive fluids, greases, diesel fuel oils and heating oils, gas-oil, mineral turpentine. The laboratory has been granted a Certificate of Accreditation No.31-LI (17) effective from 30.11.2007 to 30.11.2011 by the Bulgarian Accreditation Service as per Order No. 173 of 08.02.2010.
The PPTL operates a Quality Management System which guarantees to its customers a very good partnership and services of very high quality - an obligatory prerequisite to offer products of proven high quality to the market.
The PPTL performs testing according to international, European, regional and national standards and specifications including ISO, EN, IEC, DIN, ASTM, BDS, etc.
The laboratory management has a clearly defined Quality Policy: To completely satisfy all customer requirements and expectations related to petroleum products testing and sampling with full compliance with legal and normative documentation.
The key objective of the PPTL is to offer to its customers the most effective solutions related to petroleum products testing and all associated procedures.
A tradition of lab activities is the participation in interlaboratory proficiency testing programs organized annually by ASTM International (Interlaboratory Crosscheck Programs - ILCP) and Chevron Corporation (Laboratory Proficiency Testing Program - LPTP) which provide a good professional evaluation for lab performance, proficiency and competence.
The PPTL management strictly observes the confidentiality of customer related information and documents. The lab personnel have signed a Confidentiality Statement to keep in stringent confidentiality all company related production and trade information.
The access of external people to the laboratory is stringently regulated.
